Sticks, Stones, and Pinecones: Exploring Loose Parts Play in the ECE Environment (Hybrid)
If you’ve ever watched children play, you’ve likely noticed that they often take random items and use them in creative, imaginative ways. In this workshop, you will understand that this type of open-ended play using materials with no defined purpose and infinite possibilities is called loose parts play. We will discuss and engage in hands-on experiences that will provide explanations for the many benefits it provides our youngest curious minds. We will dive deep into its methodology and how to set up a rich and engaging environment. Let’s loose parts play!
