I am so happy to be the current President of the BCFCCA. I have been a board member for the last year, committee member for several years and association member for many years. I have been a family child care educator since 2012 and staunch advocate for this industry for the last several years. I’m currently in school to complete my Bachelor’s Degree in ECE and hold an AAS in Early Childhood Development. Please feel free to reach out to me. I am here to help our providers, prospective providers, parents, advocates and anyone interested in our industry.

Pamela Funderburk, VP of Education

My name is Pamela Funderburk. I have been a family child care provider for over 30 years. I have dedicated my life's mission to providing care for children from all different types of socioeconomic backgrounds. I am an advocate for equality, and I believe that all children deserve emotional as well as educational support from the community. I am a leader and I believe that it is my duty to act as a pillar of strength for these children. I started my own family child care home in 1985. In addition to owning and operating my own family childcare over the years I've also taught as a preschool teacher at an Air Force base, provided tutoring services to hundreds of elementary school-aged children, and served on the board of numerous national organizations for family childcare including the NAFCC, Maryland EXCELS and the National Board of Family Child Care. I've also had the opportunity to train and mentor several up-and-coming childcare providers throughout the state of Maryland.

I am honored to continue my journey as VP of Education.
